Biography
No longer the young upstart who earned the 'Wild Kyle' nickname early in his NBL career, he's now a 30-year-old seasoned veteran more than capable of both putting up points in a hurry or running a team's offence.
He might have been a bit of a novelty factor early in his NBL career with his light frame and surfer look with his blonde hair, but has turned himself into quite efficient, effective and valuable player across 217 games with Illawarra, Melbourne, Sydney and South East Melbourne.
Now following a stint playing in Romania following the 2022/23 season with the Phoenix, he returned to the NBL as an injury replacement at the Hawks midway through NBL24 and now will be back on a full roster with the Cairns Taipans for NBL25.
The Melbourne born guard started his basketball at the Kilsyth Cobras and was named to the All-SEABL (Now NBL1 South) Team in 2015 as a 21-year-old with his first NBL chance coming as a development player at the Adelaide 36ers in the 2013/14 season.
Then joined the Illawarra Hawks and played five games in 2014/15 before coming back to Melbourne to join United where he would spend the next three seasons including playing 29 games and averaging nearly 10 minutes in the 2018 championship.
Then spent a season with the Sydney Kings and the next four at the South East Melbourne Phoenix with the last of those in NBL23 seeing him averaging 20.7 minutes for 8.4 points and 2.6 assists.
Would then play 11 matches with Romanian club Sibiu before coming back to the NBL for the second half of the season in NBL24 at the Hawks and now joins Cairns for the first time.
