Biography
Winning has tended to follow the tough and productive powerhouse forward in the NBL as a two-time championship winner ahead of joining the South East Melbourne Phoenix in NBL25.
Was born in Wellington where he began his basketball in the NZ NBL at the Saints in 2012 ahead of a four-year college career with James Madison University in Virginia of the Sun Belt Conference.
Has largely split his time year-round in the NZ NBL and NBL since graduating starting at the Southland Sharks in 2018 who won the championship which led into him joining the New Zealand Breakers for NBL19 as a development player.
A breakout 2019 at the Sharks with 12.2 points and 6.0 rebounds on 42 per cent three-point shooting led into a full roster spot at the Breakers for NBL20 where he played almost eight minutes a game.
Was up to 22.4 points and 10.3 rebounds with 45 per cent long-range shooting in 2020 for the Manawatu Jets to win the MVP ahead of a first season at the Sydney Kings and playing in all 36 matches.
Remained at the Kings for NBL22 to be part of the championship team before returning to the Wellington Saints in the NZ NBL for 16.7 points and 7.9 boards.
Made his return to the Breakers for NBL23 for 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in over 13.2 minutes on a team that reached the Championship Series and lost to the Kings in five games.
After another strong season at Wellington in 2023, had a stint in the Philippines before joining the Tasmania JackJumpers to be part of another NBL championship.
That led into a first NZ NBL at the Auckland Tuatara where he had 19.2 points and 6.9 rebounds in 15 games before now joining the Phoenix.
