Biography
Will remain in the NBL with the chance to continue his 185-game championship winning career as the experienced centre joins the South East Melbourne Phoenix for the first time.
Has been part of the NBL now since the 2015/16 season and won championships with both Melbourne United and the Perth Wildcats and has overcome a ruptured Achilles.
After being born in South Sudan, moved with his family to Perth when he was eight and that's where he grew up. After playing basketball at Kingsway Christian College, and playing at both East Perth and Kalamunda locally, moved to the United States.
Started college career with Midland College in Texas before transferring to Ball State University in Indiana for the last two years including averaging 11.3 points and 9.6 rebounds as a senior in 2013/14.
Started his professional career in Slovenia at Helios Suns before signing in the NBL for the first time with Melbourne United for 2015/16.
Spent three years at United including the 2018 championship before a season at the New Zealand Breakers in 2018/19. From there, returned home to Perth with the Wildcats and won a second NBL championship in 2020.
His 2020/21 season was over before it began when he ruptured an Achilles, but made it back for 2021/22 season and spent the last two years with the 'Cats before playing as an injury replacement on the Tasmania JackJumpers championship team.
Also reunited with coach Luke Brennan with the Ballarat Miners in the 2024 NBL1 South season having played under him at the Warwick Senators in the NBL1 West in 2022, and was a key part of their run to the Grand Final.
