The Hawks will welcome weekend hoops back to WIN Entertainment Centre following the release of the 2023/24 Hungry Jack's NBL season fixture.

A total of 14 home games, 11 of which fall on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, have been slated for the new season in what is a windfall for members, partners, and fans alike.

The Hawks will play four of the first six games in front of Hawk Nation, including an opening night encounter against the defending champion, Sydney Kings.

As revealed last week, the club will feature on Christmas Day for the first time while retaining the home marquee New Year's Eve fixture with former Hawks CJ Bruton, Antonius Cleveland, Sunday Dech and the Adelaide 36ers coming to town.

The Hawks will host the Kings, Phoenix, 36ers, Taipans and Wildcats twice on our home floor, while multiple away trips to Tasmania, Melbourne, New Zealand, and Brisbane await the new-look Hawks roster.

After two interrupted seasons in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, followed by an NBL23 schedule littered with mid-week timeslots, today's fixture release is a welcome one for the club and the fan base.

Hawks CEO Stu Taggart said the NBL24 fixture provides a great opportunity for all Hawks members, fans, and partners to rally around the Hawks as the road to redemption after a tough NBL23 campaign begins at home on Saturday 30 September.

"There is genuine excitement around the club at present with recent player recruitment announcements, and today's fixture only heightens the anticipation for the new NBL season," Taggart said.

"We are thrilled to see 14 home games here in Wollongong, and with 11 of those played across Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, we can't wait to feel the positive energy of our fans within the WIN Entertainment Centre enjoying the Hawks game day experience."

"We acknowledge the NBL23 season schedule was a challenge for our members, fans and partners and see the new home fixture, as well as our inclusion in marquee matches such as Christmas Day, as a great outcome for the Hawks faithful."

"On-court, we are building a competitive squad eager to get to work, and we are looking forward to unveiling some new initiatives to the game day experience that will further establish it as the best sports entertainment product in the region."
